Course Reserves

Instructors submit requests for books and other materials into ARES; requests are routed to Access and Resource Sharing and titles that fall within designated parameters will be routed to the Collections Support Unit for ordering. Materials and online resources acquired are sent to appropriate branches and collections for course use.

Purchasing Criteria
Access and Resource Sharing employees will place items already owned by UF on reserve; Selectors may be contacted when order requests exceed price or item limits ($250 maximum price per book; $300 maximum price per STEM book).

Multi-user e-book versions will be purchased by default if available.

Course reserve purchasing also extends to video discs, streaming video, and textbooks.
